The sister and niece of Tenzin Delek Rinpoche were released after two weeks of detention on July 31. Dolkar Lhamo, 52, sister of Tenzin Delek, and her daughter Nyima, 25, were taken into custody five days after the death of Tenzin Delek on July 17 on unspecified charges. The Chinese authorities have still not conducted an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Tenzin Delek’s death three weeks after his death in custody.
